Kawaii Monster Cafe [HARAJUKU]

I had the wonderful opportunity to visit the ever colourful Kawaii Monster Cafe in Harajuku with some very sweet YouTubers! I only have photos of the food and drink so if you would like to see more of the restaurant’s atmosphere please check out my video! I’ll also leave it at the bottom so you can watch it at the end :)

I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find the Monster Cafe, but thanks to Google Maps and this colourful sign I really had no problem at all. The concept of the cafe is that  you are entering into the stomach of the monster!

This is the “Non-Drug Cocktail” which was non-alcoholic and for sure non-drug.

And this is what it looked like after the “non-drugs” were poured in.

Here are a few of the fruity and colourful sweet drinks!

Even a plain iced tea seems a little bit cooler than usual at the Monster Cafe!

This is the “Colourful Rainbow Pasta” and I believe it’s meant to look like a palette!

The potato fries were served with similar sauces as the pasta and they were all very fun to try!

I think that the highlight of the visit was the “Colourful Poison Parfait Extreme!” :D Each cream had a different flavour and there were about 3 different types of ice cream and various fruits. I wasn’t able to identify all of the flavours, but there was definitely one that tasted like toothpaste and another one that tasted like…cheese?

Here is a little reindeer that was exclusive to the holiday menu :)

Even though the food may be a little bizarre looking it all tasted great and was a lot of fun to try. Each guest is required to pay a 500 yen fee and is asked to order one food item and one drink from the menu. Fortunately, if a member in your group has a point card (which you receive after your first visit) the 500 yen fee is waived. Most of the items on the menu might seem a bit pricey, but I like to think of it as a fun attraction as well as a meal and think that it is worth it! You can check out the Kawaii Monster Cafe website for more details :)

Please check out my video to see more of the cafe!
